International Mathematical Olympiad 2008 (Madrid, Spain) Scores

At the 2008 IMO held in Madrid, Spain, 535 contestants from 97 countries competed. 47 gold medals were awarded to those scoring at least 31; 100 silver medals were awarded to those scoring from 22 to 30; and 120 bronze medals were awarded to those scoring from 15 to 21.

The maximum individual score possible was 42 (which 3 contestants attained). The mean individual score was 15.084, with a standard deviation of 9.985. The following table shows how many contestants attained each possible score.
