International Mathematical Olympiad 2006 (Ljubljana, Slovenia) Scores

At the 2006 IMO held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, 498 contestants from 90 countries competed. 42 gold medals were awarded to those scoring at least 28; 89 silver medals were awarded to those scoring from 19 to 27; and 122 bronze medals were awarded to those scoring from 15 to 18.

The maximum individual score possible was 42 (which 3 contestants attained). The mean individual score was 14.474, with a standard deviation of 8.054. The following table shows how many contestants attained each possible score.
